Easy tips and Natural remedies for enlarged pores 

     Be it men or women, all are facing loads and loads of skin problems starting from their teens to old age.  The process of ageing is not an exemption to anyone.  As we grow old, you may see significant changes in the skin health from wrinkles on the forehead, skin sagging, dark spots on the face, puffy eyes, dark circles around the eyes, crow’s feet, double chin, and so on.  The list is endless.  To delay the signs of aging, you often burn a hole in your pocket by spending on creams, lotions, exercises, etc…Some may even go out of their way to battle these signs of aging which include surgeries, Botox injections, etc. 

    Apart from this, there are a few more aging signs, which are left unnoticed.  One such thing is enlarged pores.  You often pay very less attention to it, but when noticed it carefully, they look very ugly.  They are nothing but normal tiny skin pores which get dilated due to aging and genetic issues.  There are number of factors which are responsible for enlarged pores.  Dirt, dead skin cell, and oil debris accumulate over the pores and cause these tiny pores to appear enlarged.  It is obviously a sign of unhealthy skin.   Opened large pores often pave way to blackheads and acne. 

     Unfortunately, there is no permanent cure for these large pores, but yes pore shrinkage to some degree is surely possible with the tips and natural remedies given below.   

Cleansing:   Cleanse! Cleanse! Cleanse!.....Constantly clean your face with cold water.  Avoid hot water.  Hot water again will leave your pores enlarged.

Exfoliate:  Exfoliate your skin with a natural scrub.  Removing dead skin and oil debris is must for the healthy looking skin.  Exfoliate the skin in a gentle way.  Do not scrub vigorously.  Give a gentle rub on to the skin.   Exfoliating with natural substances is highly recommended.

Baking Soda:  Make a thick paste of baking soda with warm water.  Massage this mixture on to the skin in a circular motion.  Rinse it off with cold water.  Repeat this twice a week.  This will not only clean the pores, but also helps in pore shrinkage.

Essential Oils:   Tea tree oil, lavender oil and rosemary oil have skin purifying properties, astringent properties and powerful disinfectants, which will unclog the pores and minimize the chances of pore enlargement. 

Lemon Juice:  Lemon tones your skin and reduces the appearance of large pores because it is a powerful astringent.  Soak cotton ball in a freshly squeezed lemon juice, dab it on to your face.  Leave it for 5 minutes.  Rinse with cold water.  Do it three times a week for better results.

Grounded Almonds:   Take a fistful of almonds.  Blend it to form a coarse powder.  Make paste with water.   Apply this paste directly on to the face and leave it for 30-40 minutes.  Allow it to dry.  Rinse well with water.  Do this 2-3 times a week.

Cucumber:   Cucumber will not only reduce your pore size but imparts youthful and radiant look to the skin and helps in skin tightening.  Squeeze fresh cucumber juice, apply it on to the face.  You can also mix cucumber juice with lemon.  This will tighten the pores.  You can do this every alternate day for visible results.

Banana Peel:   Think before throwing the banana peel!!!  It has abundance of antioxidants which is beneficial in shrinking the large pores.  Rub the banana peel all over the face in a circular motion for 10-15 minutes.  Wash it off with cold water.  Repeat this remedy twice a week.  It will help you to shrink the pores to a large extent.

Fuller’s Earth:  Multani mitti or fuller’s earth is one of the best natural remedy to shrink the pores.  It absorbs oil and dirt.  It is a good exfoliator too.  Make a paste of fuller’s earth with rose water.  Apply this pack directly on to the face.  Allow it to dry completely and then wash off with cold water.  Once-a-week usage will definitely show visible results in pore tightening.   Rosewater is an excellent toner.

Ice:  It has skin tightening effect.  Wash your face with ice water to reduce large pores.  Place ice cubes in a clean cotton cloth and dab it on to your face in a circular motion.   This will help in reducing the pore size.

Egg White:  Egg white tones and tightens the skin.  Whisk an egg white and apply it on the clean face.  When completely dry, wash it off with cold water.  It will shrink the pores by tightening and toning the skin.

Aloe Vera:  Take a fresh pulp of aloe vera.  Massage on to the skin in a circular motion.  Leave it for 10 minutes.  Wash it off with cold water.  You can do this on a daily basis.

Diet:  Last but not the least, diet plays a very vital role in total skin care.  Hence, it is advisable to consume a diet which is loaded with vitamin A, vitamin C, Vitamin E and antioxidants for skin health.  Consume good amount of fluids for radiant-looking and problem-free skin.
