Well the most common type of skin problem which you see in all age groups is acne.  It may be due to various reasons such as hormonal imbalances, poor hygiene, poor diet, and poor nutrition.

Cleansing

Cleanse your face with clean water twice a day.

Exfoliation with natural scrub

Generally, oily skin attracts more dirt and your skin look dull and lifeless.  So, make it a habit of exfoliating your skin once a week.   It is a very important segment in routine skin regime.  Make sure to exfoliate with natural scrub.  Use honey and sugar scrub and gently exfoliate the skin.  This will get rid of the dead cells and keep your skin clean from dirt.

Aloe Vera - Natural Moisturizer

It is safe to moisturize the acne-prone skin in a natural way.   Always moisturize your skin with aloe vera pulp.  It has both skin soothing and skin healing properties.  It is safe on acne and calm down the redness and inflammation.  Extract the aloe vera pulp and apply it on to the face directly.  Aloe vera has antibacterial properties.

Turmeric - Natural Antiseptic

In Asia, Turmeric has been used in Ayurveda for more than 2000 years for various skin problems.   Applying turmeric to the face is an ancient tradition to prevent acne breakouts.  Make a paste with a powdered turmeric and milk.  Apply this paste on the face and let it air dry.  Wash it off with cold water.  Turmeric has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.  Turmeric will reduce the inflammation and decrease the severity of infection.  Milk acts as a natural cleanser.

Manuka Honey

Due to its antibacterial properties, honey is safe to be used on acne.  It is a natural moisturizer too.  Apply Manuka honey directly on the face.  Leave it for 10 minutes.  Rinse it off with tepid water.  It heals the skin faster and prevents acne breakout.

Ice

Take ice cubes in a small clean piece of cloth.  Dab the ice on to the face directly.  It soothes the inflammation and reduces the size of the acne instantly.

Lemon Juice

Dip a cotton swab in a freshly squeezed lemon and dab it on to the face.  Leave on for a few seconds and rinse with lukewarm water.   It is used worldwide to treat acne.  This is simple and inexpensive way to treat acne at home.   You can see visible results when used regularly.

Cucumber

Another water-filled food that do wonders on acne.  Squeeze fresh juice of cucumber and apply it on the face with cotton ball.  This will reduce the redness and give soothing cool effect to the face.

Pepper

It has antibacterial and antioxidant properties, which cures acne and pimples.  Make a paste with pepper powder and milk.  Apply this paste on the face and let it air dry.  Wash it off with cold water.

Orange peel

Orange peel is effective in acne treatment.  Take some orange peels and dry it in the sunshade.  Once it is completely dry, make powder of it.  Mix the orange peel powder with water and apply this as a mask on the face.  Orange peel extract cures the acne and prevents breakout.  It also brightens up the complexion.

Essential Oils

Lavender, tea tree, lemon grass and clove essential oils can be used for acne.  It hydrates the skin and fights acne.  Basil essential oil (tulasi) also helps to cure acne and soothe the inflammation.  Apply 2-3 drops of any essential oil and apply it directly on the place of breakout.

Reduce Stress

Stress can aggravate acne breakouts.  Get more sleep and engage in physical activity to reduce stress level.  Practice exercise and meditation.  It will keep you active and relax.

Stay hydrated

Stay hydrated…what else we can say regarding this!!!  

Hygiene

Don’t touch your face unwantedly.  This will spread the infection and cause breakout.  Wash your face regularly and keep it dirt-free.
