Instant Relieve from Arthritic Knee Pain - Natural Remedies

Knee pain is a bothersome condition which affects almost all age groups, especially women.  Women, after 30, tend to lose significant amount of calcium level in the blood, thus cause wearing of cartilage bone.  Knee being the most flexible and weight-bearing joint of the human body, surrounding structures are prone to damage easily and causes joint inflammation and stiffness.  Most common reasons for painful knee may be due to hereditary condition, lack of immunity, sometimes injury from exercises, etc.  Apart from medicines, there are natural remedies available which will cure the arthritis completely.

Rock Salt Compress:  Rock salt provides good pain relief.  Dry heat the required amount of rock salt in a pan till it loses its water content.  Wrap this hot salt in a cotton cloth and give light compression to the region of knee with heat as tolerated.  It will soothe the area of pain.  Hot water compress also provide great relief. 

Dry Fodder Compress:  Heat dry fodder in a pan.  Once it is heated, it has to be wrapped in a cotton cloth and compression should be given in the region of pain.  This will also calm down the knee pain and relaxes the surrounding muscles of the knee.

Turmeric Paste:  Make a paste of Calcium carbonate, turmeric and honey.  Apply on the affected area of the knee.  Keep it for 15 minutes till the paste becomes dry.  Wash it off with warm water followed by rice water.   Repeat this remedy daily and you can see the visible results in knee pain.  Same way, turmeric, salt and sugar paste can be used as an applicator for knee pain also.


Weight control:   Our body weight has to be supported by our knees, so the knee tends to hurt a lot sometimes.  So maintaining our BMR and body weight will surely calm down the symptoms of knee pain and arthritis.

Diet:  Include fatty fish in your diet as it is rich in omega-3 fatty acid.  It will help control your weight.  Include garlic, ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, and turmeric in diet, which have good anti-inflammatory properties.   It will reduce the inflammation of joints and helps in pain relief.

Meditation:  Regular meditation and yoga practice can help alleviate the symptoms.

Vitamin D:  Vitamin D helps to maintain strong bones.  You can get vitamin D from sun exposure as needed for healthy bones and joints.

Massage:  Massaging the area of achy muscles and joints with essential oils and sesame oil can help soothe the arthritic knee pain.  It lowers the stress level, increase serotonin levels and improve mood.
