Cleaning the bathroom is almost a nightmare for all of us.
When it comes to bathroom cleaning, the first thing that comes in mind is the unpleasant odor and the severity of the stains that accumulates in and around the bathroom fittings.
Walls and Ceiling: Dust accumulating
areas of the bathrooms are none other than walls and
ceilings. Extension dusters can be used to clean up the walls and
ceilings. The walls in turn attract more dirt and stain
because of shampoo and soap lathers that splashed while taking
bath. This can be removed by spraying using shampoo and water
mixture. Leave this spray for 15 minutes and use tile cleaning brush
to remove the stains. You can also use lemon, baking soda and salt water
to clean the tough stains and molds.
Exhaust fans: It mainly spreads the dirt rather than removing the
humidity efficiently. Use vacuum duster to dislodge the dust from
exhaust fans.
Toilets: When you ask which is
the worst chore in the house, you will definitely get the answer, “toilet
cleaning.” More they are stained; more are the chances of
accumulation of germs. Before cleaning the toilet, it is utmost
necessary to leave the toilet cleaner liquid in the toilet bowl for at least 15
minutes, so that it removes stains completely. Thoroughly clean the
toilet basin by removing the toilet seat every month or two because you will be
scared to see how much nastiness builds up around the seat
bolts. Plain distilled vinegar does wonders on tough stains and is
also a good toilet cleaner.
Sinks, Faucets and Hand showers: They are equally stained with the leftover calcium
and minerals deposits, and salts from water and molds. You can rub
these faucets and hand showers with lemon peels and baking soda or else you can
place a lemon wedge on the faucet head overnight for better
shine. It is always better to prevent water spots from faucets and
showers.
Floors: Floors
can be cleaned by removing the debris first. Later, it can be
cleaned with floor cleaning liquid.
Plastic curtains: This can be kept clean by regular detergent wash
along with vinegar.
Mirrors: Mirrors can be kept
fog-free by wiping it with microfiber cloth. You may be surprised to
know that newspapers can be used to wipe the wet mirrors too. It
will remove the fogginess better than the cloth. Sprinkle soap water
on to the mirror and wipe it off with dry newspaper.
