Some Natural remedies for puffy eyes

Who wants to wake up with those puffy and dull eyes?!!!…

Puffiness around eyes are common with age factor.  Apart from age factor, poor sleep pattern, poor lifestyle, boozing, etc. aggravates the condition.

Eyes speak a lot when words lose their power….Lets make the eyes speak with these natural remedies.


Natural Remedies for Puffy Eyes

Sleeping Beauty:  Get enough sleep.  Ensure that you get complete 7-8 hours of sleep.  Always keep a bedtime routine.  This will help you reduce the bulge around the eyes.



Drinking Plenty of Fluids:   Puffy eyes are symptoms of dehydration.  Consuming good amount of fluids will keep the puffy eyes at bay.

Diet:  Using excess amount of sodium can cause puffiness around eyes.  Reduce taking processed foods, cheese, pickles, etc. which contains excess amount of sodium in it.  In turn try using potassium rich foods such as bananas, yogurt, and green leafy vegetables will help reducing the puffiness around eyes.

Tea Bags:  Cold green or black tea bags compresses will reduce the puffiness.  Soak the teabags in cold water and place it on the eyes for 10 minutes.  It will soothe the skin round the eyes and resolves puffiness.

Cucumber:  Slices of cucumber on eyes will bring down the puffiness.  Place fresh thin slices of cucumber on the eyes for 10 minutes.  Wash it off with cold water.  Repeat this daily.   You will notice visible results in two weeks.

Aloe Vera Gel:  Extract aloe vera gel  from the fresh plant.  Apply around eyes and leave it for 15 minutes.  Wash it off with cold water.  Repeat this twice a day.  You will definitely notice a change from this remedy as aloe vera has antioxidant properties.  This will provide an instant fresh look to the dull eyes.

Essential Oils:  Lavender oil and lemon oil will do wonders on the eye bags.  Just apply a drop of essential oil and give a light massage on the eyes with the fingertips without exerting pressure.   Leave it for 15-20 minutes.  Repeat this process twice a week.

Avoid Alcohol –  Try to limit the use of alcohol as this is the main culprit behind the eye puffiness.
